Get ready to visit The Unfathomable Planet
an upcoming raypunk sci-fi short comic
One of the talented artists that I've been fortunate enough to work with on my monthly scripts is a French illustrator Jean-Marc Tauzin. Together we've already collaborated on two short comic stories: Lost Pet and Deep Dream.
After that we decided that we'd like to work together on something slightly bigger – specifically on something in a sci-fi space setting that Jean Marc mentioned he'd like to try out. And I had just the thing.
The Unfathomable Planet is a 10-page comic script that I've written about a year ago, originally for a crowdfunded anthology project that I agreed to be a part of, but that sadly didn't really go anywhere. Though it's not as sad now since Jean-Marc and I can now breath a new life into it.
I'm not going to spoil much about The Unfathomable Planet, other than saying that it's a retrofuturistic raypunk sci-fi story with a little bit of a twist to it. With Jean-Marc's permission, I've also added some of his work in progress illustrations that you can check out below as a little treat.
You can look forward to the finished comic sometime during this Summer. When it's finished, you'll find it here or on Jean-Marc's GlobalComix page. If you've not done so yet, you can also subscribe to my newsletter so that you can be notified when the comic is up.
