The Unfathomable Planet is a 10-page raypunk cosmic horror story that I wrote in the Summer of 2023 for an online comic anthology. Sadly the anthology didn't really go anywhere and the script ended up not being used.

A few months later I started collaborating with a French artist Jean-Marc Tauzin, who drew two of my short comic scripts: Lost Pet and Deep Dream. After that Jean-Marc and I discussed a potentially bigger collaboration that we could try together. Jean-Marc suggested a sci-fi story which, combined with our shared passion for cosmic horror (hat is very evident in our two previous collaborations) made me remember the unused script for The Unfathomable Planet. Our comic that you're about to read was then finished and released in September 2024.

Without spoiling too much, The Unfathomable Planet is a love letter to the genre of cosmic horror, as well as the retrofuturistic aesthetics of various sci-fi adventure stories from 1950s and 1960s. And if you don't think these two approaches can really work together… then maybe we'll be able to change your mind.
